ENERGY: CEMIG

CHALLENGE

In 2014, when Lexica was still a garage-phase startup, Mercados Energéticos Consultores (GME) was seeking a key solution for its client, CEMIG Brazil, to optimize the management of electric transmission. The company required:

Calculating economic variables for unavailability.
Complying with regulations from the National System Operator (ONS) and avoiding fines.
Integrating operational systems to improve planning and management.

SOLUTION

GME hired Onirus (software developer), which used Lexica technology to design, develop, and implement the CPV software, enabling CEMIG to calculate and minimize fines for unavailability in the energy transmission system. The solution included:

•Modeling formulas to calculate projected fines.

•Interactive schedules to measure economic impacts in real time.

•Semantic integration with SAP operational and planning systems.

•Training, dynamic reporting, and translation into Portuguese.

RESULT

The project was successfully completed. With Lexica, CEMIG optimized operations, complied with regulations, and maximized its ROI. It is still in operating in market today since 2014.
